Here We Are – 2021!

Dear Festival followers,
I just received the memo that we’re well into 2021! With that, it’s time that we touch the bases on a few items for 2021.

While there are still many uncertainties about what will be possible for live music, our thoughts are definitely focusing as though being live is a sure thing. Our Festival dates are Thursday, September 16th – Sunday, September 19th. We will be soon be gathering intel on which artists will be available to us, and that includes assessing the uncertainties regarding international travel.

While most artists made some really good lemonade out of 2020 lemons, they will surely be eager to get back to touring. By all accounts, our virtual Festival was worthwhile for most of our participating musicians. That is thanks to you for showing up virtually, and also sharing what you could with them.

Most of those performances are still available on the Festival YouTube channel. Go to Playlists, and you will find 2020 – Virtual Performances, as well as playlists for many other years, composed of live recordings made by you, our patrons. In addition, you can find some of our virtual Piping Retreat workshop content. While you’re there, subscribe using the button on the channel. Anytime we add content you’ll be notified.

Many thanks to those of you who donated to us during the Virtual Festival. Your generosity amounted to nearly $2000, and will go a long way to helping us in 2021. You are able to donate at anytime this year In addition, we continue to offer our Sponsorship options, by which you, and your name, will play a unique roll in presenting a musician, group, or event.

Lastly, we will be sending out an announcement later today for fiddle players. If you caught the debut virtual performance of The Bow Tides you will surely be interested in a fiddle weekend that they are presenting in February. More soon!
