Considering the understandable uncertainty that people have about events cancelling or postponing, the Spanish Peaks Celtic Music Festival is very pleased to begin making announcements of our September 2020 artist lineup. Our first announcement is of a group that will be making their first visit to the Festival. The Byrne Brothers are a Family Band from Dublin who moved to Donegal for a few years and now live in Orlando Florida.
They describe their show as “fast paced, with brilliant musicianship on multiple instruments, exciting and dynamic arrangements, as well as world class Irish dancing.”
The Byrne Brothers include Luca (age 16) on button accordion, Finn (13) on banjo, Dempsey (10) on bodhran and tin whistle, and Tommy (“Daddy”) on guitar, uilleann pipes, fiddle and bagpipes. Julie (“Mammy”) is on sound. The boys are all County Champions several times on their instruments, as well as Ulster Champion Irish Dancers. Even “Daddy” was Dublin Champion on bagpipes “back in the day.”
